Who Are macTribe? This is our story
In 2010, motivated by his love for Apple products and recognising a distinct gap in the IT support sector, Jéan van Wyngaardt founded MacTribe. He observed businesses keen on integrating both Apple and PC systems, yet often grappling with insufficient support. Jean’s ambition for MacTribe centred on bridging this divide. Over the years, our team has expanded to 18 exceptional IT experts, including our leadership team comprised of Jessica Ruvin, Lee Smith, and Ian Welch. This growth reflects our deepening passion for delivering premier cross-platform services across the UK. The realm of technology presents its intricacies, yet under our adept leadership, we approach the future with enthusiasm and confidence.
Making a difference
Good IT support should be felt, not seen. It operates in the background, ensuring things run seamlessly, allowing our clients to focus entirely on their work. At MacTribe, our proudest moments arise when we resolve long-standing issues that newly onboarded clients have grappled with for years. Sometimes, it’s a mere tweak in settings that eliminates problems they’ve battled for so long. That profound relief when the stress of tech issues has been lifted. These moments, solving problems and helping teams work efficiently, are why we love what we do.
Where you can find us
In 2024, we moved to The Leather Market on Weston Street in Bermondsey. This ornate Victorian building, once a busy tannery, started life in the 19th century as The London Leather, Hide and Wool Exchange and is now our new workspace. Our office is just a short stroll from both London Bridge and Borough stations, making it easy to reach. If you’re in the area and fancy a coffee and chat, let us know — we’d love to show you around. Feel free to reach out anytime!
